I dont think sending a report ticket will work. According to the current policy we deserve to be banned. By making a thread here I hope anet will realize that the policy is flawed regarding foreign offensive words.

They also can unban guilds, but probably prefer not to.

Surely sending report tickets for lots of guilds might make them realize the system is flawed, but it is definately not certain it would, and since I am very annoyed that I got banned I would not want to do this to other people.

hmm, true. I don't see Regina responding to threads like these much so I didn't think about that. Then again I hope no mods/admins close this thread since it does seem like something that could be raised once Regina notices this thread.

At the very least, I suppose sending a report ticket or speaking to Galie on her wiki could at least bring this to their attention (perhaps bringing up that the guy was bragging about it even showing that he used google to see if SuKa was offensive and it may help to show them that their current system can be abused easily just like it obviously has this time)

I would have understood their side a little more if it wasn't capitalized in such a way to show it didn't mean that word at all. None of them even knew what that word meant because it's another language entirely. I bet some word I've used in this post is offensive in some language somewhere.

I normally understand Anet when they do some things (I don't have an example atm though) but this naming policy and the banning of SuKa is something I just find quite stupid.

as mentioned, ANYTHING could be offensive in a different language if you look hard enough. Every Guild and character should be banned if we're looking at it like that.

anyway, so I don't go over more things that others have already gone over, I'll just end my post by saying that their naming policy needs to be checked and that banning a guild based on one persons word is ****ing stupid >_>

I already contacted Gaile by e-mail, stating their system needed reviewing because atm it is obviously prone to abuse.

I have yet to recieve a reply, but i'll keep you posted.

You know what's actually funny? When i asked to unban DoDo a 2 weeks ago, they said to me they couldnt unban guilds. Then i replied that that was a stupid lie and guilds had unbanned before they suddenly just called the name offensive :P.

Both are year old guilds.
Shat has been pretty good whenever they played, and SuX used to win halls a ton if i remember correctly, before starting to move into gvg as well.
